About 'amfori BSCI'

The amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is a business-driven platform for social compliance monitoring and qualification of the supplychain which are increasingly becoming complex. amfori BSCI was designed to improve working conditions for the suppliers of amfori BSCI's participating member companies.

'amfori BSCI' Code of Conduct

The amfori BSCI Code of Conduct includes 11 elements of social management system. These range from workers involvement and protection, freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, prohibition of discrimination, fair remuneration, decent working hours, workplace health and safety, prohibition of child labour, special protection for young workers, prohibition of forced and compulsory labour and disciplinary measures, environment and ethical.

The BSCI program is not a program for certification, it is audit of suppliers to verify the compliance with the BSCI code of conduct.
