About EU Eco-Label

The European Union(EU) Ecolabel is a voluntary scheme, where an environmental performance certificate is awarded to products and services which meet specific, identified criteria. Based on life cycle assessment, competent third party awards the certificate enables the use of the label to indicate overall environmental preferability within a particular product category.

EU Ecolabel is for

Producers, manufacturers, importers, service providers and wholesalers placing their products and/or services on the European Economic Area market can all apply for the EU Ecolabel. Product categories include cleaning products, hard and wooden floor coverings, paints and furnishes, electronic equipment, furniture, gardening, household appliances, lubricants, paper products, personal care products, textiles and footwear etc.
